English International All-Styles Taekwon-Do

Jun 1, Our Walking Stick Pattern

We are proud to have devised this pattern ourselves. It is unique to the EIAT school and you won't find it anywhere else in the world. Here, it is performed by Christopher Williams (3rd Degree).

Choong-Moo Tul, Performed with a Bo-Staff

Oliver Williams (2nd Degree), performing Choon-Moo Tul with a Bo-Staff.

Hwa Rang Tul, performed with a Bo-Staff

Matt Beldia (1st Degree) performing pattern Hwa Rang with a Bo-Staff.

Chon-Ji Tul performed as a group

Pattern Chon-Ji Tul performed by Christopher Williams (3rd degree), Oliver Williams (2nd degree), Daniela Beldia (2nd degree) and Matt Beldia (1st degree).

We practice our patterns together, group training helps us build our team spirit (and allows anyone who's lost to follow the more experienced students).

The meaning behind Jun 1

Jung 1 is named after Jung Yang, the late wife of Master Tony (7th Degree), who was a teacher in both the UK and China. As such this pattern reminds us about the mark each person makes the world, reminding us that our legacy is the love and learning we leave behind.

Perhaps Jung Yang's greatest work was the creation of a documentary series called 'Are Our Kids Tough Enough - Chinese School', which follows an expirement in which British children were taught by Chinese teachers.
